Meet um..... (Robot Remote Control Holders)

You know, I've always felt sorry for the itti bitti scraps of fabric left over.... its like they never made it as an item of clothing, never made it as an accessory like a bag (scraps), never made it as for appliqué or brooch (last chance scraps). They are the fabrics that were just not good enough...

Until now!! Introducing.... um.... actually they have no names but they're my robot remote control holders. We are always losing the remote control around here. We've designated particular spots for them but it never works. Well, the novelty of having robot remote control holders seem to appeal with my family and they've been putting the remote controls back in these holders. Let's hope it lasts!!

These holders are made out of the absolutely-last-chance-destined-for-the-bin fabric scraps. I kinda like their "scruffy look" - they're how "working robots" should look like! (hehe)

In the meantime, what should I name my robots?? It's just too long to say "Put the remotes back in the remote control holders." Any suggestions on what to name them??

ETA: they now have names!! Thank you to Susan from Wardrobe Refashion... their names are "Mork and Mindy" (am I showing my age here? hehe)

These are so cute, I love the found objects for features on their little faces! Good luck with the naming!

How bout Lost and Found?

or Bert and Ernie?

or Thelma and Louise?

From Sesame Street and a movie actually titled Thelma and Louise.

Haha, that's cute. And very creative. And also a bit timely, as I'm currently having a huge debate as to what to do with a bunch of fabric scraps since I really don't need any more bags right now. (Of course, no kids and no house of my own does rather complicate things...)

And I think Mork and Mindy are great names. :D

Oh gosh, these are fantastic! Our toddler likes to hide the remotes, this could be a great - and cute - solution.
